Flap abrasive discs
THE flap abrasive discs they consist of a support made of nylon or in fiber on which overlapping abrasive blades in single blade, double blade or combined blades are applied, according to a density level which can be considered standard (SD) or high density (HD). The type of canvas allo zirconium (Z), corundum (TO), ceramic (SG), csilicon arbide (C ) and the availability of various grain sizes make flap discs versatile and ideal for the effective abrasion of different materials.
In addition to the positioning of the slats on the support, it is the angle of incidence between the machine and the surface that makes the difference in sanding, removal or grinding operations: the angle it must fit the shape (flat or conical) of the flap disc used so each disc will work better for the chosen application.
We will therefore have:
15°-30° Optimal for shaped surfaces and edge grinding. Greater material removal on flat surfaces. Ideal for removing heavy material.
0-15° Mainly used on a flat surface. Ideal for sanding.

For particularly precise work, we recommend lamellar abrasive discs made of ceramic abrasive cloth which maintain a low temperature during removal and grinding operations, with an effective result and reduced times.
